Daywise Tour Itinerary

The tour begins upon arrival in Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India. Guests are welcomed at the airport or railway station and escorted to their hotel for check-in. Later in the day, a visit is arranged to the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered shrines dedicated to Goddess Shakti. Time permitting, travelers may also explore the scenic views of the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay is arranged in Guwahati.

After breakfast, the journey continues to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its population of the great Indian one-horned rhinoceros. The drive offers glimpses of rural Assam, tea estates, and forested landscapes. Upon reaching Kaziranga, guests check in at a jungle lodge or eco-resort and spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight stay is arranged in Kaziranga.

The day begins with an early morning jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park. The safari provides a chance to observe a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, swamp deer, wild buffalo, and various species of birds. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, the remainder of the day may include a visit to the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park or nearby tribal villages to learn about local culture. Guests return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast and check-out, the tour continues with a drive to Nimati Ghat near Jorhat, from where a ferry ride takes guests to Majuli Island – the world’s largest river island located on the Brahmaputra. Upon arrival, check-in is arranged at a guesthouse or eco-lodge. The day includes visits to the historic satras (Vaishnavite monasteries), interaction with local artisans, and an introduction to traditional Assamese tribal lifestyles. The day concludes with a peaceful overnight stay on the island.

Following breakfast, the return ferry brings guests back to the mainland, after which the tour proceeds to Sivasagar – the former capital of the Ahom Kingdom. The day is dedicated to exploring the architectural and historical landmarks including Rang Ghar, Talatal Ghar, Kareng Ghar, and the ancient temple complexes of Shiva Dol, Vishnu Dol, and Devi Dol. After the day's exploration, overnight accommodation is provided in Sivasagar.

On the final day, after breakfast and hotel check-out, guests are transferred to the nearest airport or railway station in either Jorhat or Dibrugarh for their onward journey, concluding the tour with memories of Assam's rich heritage and natural splendor.
