Upon arrival in Guwahati, guests are received at the railway station or airport and transferred to their pre-arranged accommodation. After check-in and some time to refresh, the itinerary proceeds with a visit to the historic Kamakhya Temple, a revered Shakti Peetha perched atop Nilachal Hill. Later in the day, travelers may explore the serene banks of the Brahmaputra River before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Following breakfast, the journey continues towards Kaziranga National Park, located approximately 220 kilometers from Guwahati. The drive offers views of Assam’s rural landscape, tea gardens, and forests. Upon arrival, guests check in at their accommodation near the national park. The evening is reserved for rest or an optional local cultural program, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.
The day begins early with a safari experience in the central or western range of Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its population of the one-horned rhinoceros. After the safari, guests return to the hotel for breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, a visit to the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park may be included, followed by leisure time or exploration of nearby tea plantations. The day concludes with dinner and overnight stay at the same accommodation.
After breakfast and check-out, the tour proceeds to Majuli, the world's largest inhabited river island, situated on the Brahmaputra River. The journey includes a ferry crossing from Nimati Ghat to reach the island. Upon arrival, accommodation is arranged at a local guesthouse or eco-resort. The day is spent visiting some of the island’s renowned satras (Vaishnavite monasteries), experiencing traditional Mishing tribal culture, and enjoying the peaceful riverside environment. Overnight stay is arranged in Majuli.
Following breakfast, the itinerary continues with a ferry return to the mainland and a drive to the historic town of Sivasagar. This town is rich in Ahom heritage and includes visits to notable sites such as the Rang Ghar amphitheater, Talatal Ghar palace ruins, and the ancient Shiva Dol temple complex. After a full day of sightseeing, guests check in at a local hotel in Sivasagar for an overnight stay.
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, guests are transferred to either Dibrugarh or Jorhat Airport or Railway Station, marking the conclusion of the Assam tour.
